Dear
Patients,
Thank you for taking the time to visit our web site. We hope that
by visiting our office web site you may better understand how important
it is to maintain healthy gums and teeth. You may gain an understanding
of how important a beautiful smile is! A smile is important to your
health, to your happiness, and believe it or not, to your success!
By way of introducing myself and our practice to you, I thought
I'd start off by telling you a little about myself and how I have
the privilege of being able to care for your teeth.
As an "Air Force
brat" growing up with my three brothers and my sister, we lived
for brief periods in various parts of Texas, Missouri, Florida,
and New Jersey. I went to high school in Bridgewater, New Jersey,
and then went on to graduate from Arizona State University with
a B.S. in Chemistry in 1983. I attended Georgetown University School
of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. and graduated in 1987.
When I was young in New Jersey, I joined the Boy Scouts, was on
the swim team and I became interested in flying. When I became an
Eagle Scout, I worked summers at Philmont, the National Boy Scout
Summer Camp in Cimarron, New Mexico.
In Arizona while attending ASU, I also obtained my commercial pilot
and flight instructor licenses. While earning my degree, I worked
through college by running my own business as a flight instructor.
At Georgetown University in Washington, DC, I was accepted into
the dental school in the fall of 1983.
While a full-time student at Georgetown, I gained the flight time
needed to take and pass my Airline Transport Rating. I was trained
and flew six varieties of private jets before I graduated from dental
school.
I became licensed to practice dentistry in Maryland, New Jersey,
New York, Missouri and Florida. I was hired by Trans World Airlines
in 1988. In 2001, American Airlines acquired TWA and today, I am
a Captain for American Airlines. Currently, I fly the MD-80 aircraft
and I am based in St. Louis, MO. Through the years, I have continued
to stay current with my airline ratings as well as, advances in
dentistry, of which there are many. I am equally dedicated to my
patients and my passengers.
I have lived in Florida for twenty years. I am married to Alison,
who is a St. Petersburg native, where we live today with our two
beautiful children, Miranda, 11, and Nicholas, 8. Alison is the
daughter of Richard and Gerry Mensh who are also Florida natives.
Well, that's who I am, and it's kind of short, but it's mostly all
there. I left out most of the good stories, adventures, and interesting
people I've met along the way. You'll have to come into my office
to get the rest. I am looking forward to meeting you. |
